The Pomponio family business was founded in 1985, drawing on the local supply chain for both organic and conventional production, and quickly became a leading mill in the area.

While carefully selecting their own produce, in 2015 the family decided to cultivate their own organic olive groves in this area, thus creating the Tenuta Famiglia Pomponio farm.

“A model company that is constantly evolving, powered by renewable energy sources and attentive to the environment through the use of recyclable materials.”

It’s no secret that this is one of the most suitable areas for olive growing in all of central Italy. The ideal climate, the sea breeze and the constant winds that blow between the sea and the mountains, the ideal exposure, and the medium-textured soil have over time consolidated an important olive oil milling tradition. And while elsewhere olive trees are being cleared for vineyards, the Pomponio family has chosen to buck the trend.
